The Rose Room
Romantic for a couple, cozy for a solo traveler, and beloved by children, who want the window seat to be their bed.
The Upstairs Bathroom
The upstairs rooms share a hall bathroom.
This one is a real challenge to show. The first picture is truest to the room's colors, which were chosen to match the oxidized copper vase that holds dried lavender from the garden.
The upstairs ceilings are six-three at their highest. The bathroom does not give a lot of room for manoeuvring. But we tried to make it very inviting through color, freshness and lighting. Seashells and bulkhead lights continue the water theme of the colors, as does a watercolor beach scene placed to suggest a window.
We do not have a picture of the neo-angle shower stall, which has glass on three sides, solid wall behind on two. All the fixtures are new.
On the practical side, there is an efficient exhaust fan in the ceiling, and a heated towel rack, as well as lots of hooks, of course. Because this room is small, hairstyling and makeup can more comfortably be done in the bedrooms. Therefore, the Rose Room has a wall-mounted hair dryer, and both bedrooms have a makeup mirror and shelves on the walls behind the door, as well as mirrors on the bedroom doors.
