Mathews Open Studio Tours

Artists' Open Studio event takes place just after Thanksgiving

The weekend after Thanksgiving Day, a good number of artists' studios all around neighboring Mathews county will be open to visitors. You can get a map at the Mathews Visitor Center, Bay School of the Arts, or right here at Heaven Scent. You then visit at your own pace. It's a great opportunity to see what's being produced around here, and possibly to make progress with your Christmas shopping. Just seeing the variety of studios and ways of working is fun enough, but the chance to meet the artists and learn about their work makes this a very special event. And it's free!
